Chief of Party
Dakar, Senegal
IntraHealth International, Inc is currently accepting applications from potential Chief of Party candidates interested in IntraHealth’s submission for the upcoming USAID-funded human resources for health regional project in Senegal. The Chief of Party (COP) is responsible for overall leadership, management and implementation of the project, a multi-country, multi-partner, regional initiative. S/he provides strategic guidance, vision and leadership to all project staff. The COP works closely with and supervises project staff, and ensures the strategic and functional integration of all technical areas as well as strong collaboration with donors, other implementers, and local counterparts. The COP is responsible for meeting contractual obligations, producing deliverables and targets, and achieving project results as specified by the USAID Senegal Mission and other specified donors, in full compliance with IntraHealth policies and procedures and USAID rules and regulations.

| Qualifications of the Candidate |

Successful candidates will have an advanced degree in public health or a relevant field; a medical or nursing degree is highly desired. In addition, candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience managing Maternal and Child Health, Family Planning and Reproductive Health and/or Malaria programs in developing countries and complex cultural settings, in progressive leadership positions. Experience managing an annual budget of $10M+ is also highly desirable. S/he will have experience working with USAID rules and regulations, extensive knowledge and experience of MNCH, FP and/or Malaria, and experience managing complex teams and motivating them to achieve excellence in implementation and achieving results. Verbal and written fluency in English and French is required. An ability to travel within the country (30% time) and for occasional international travel to participate in global or regional conferences and/or meetings as requested is also required.
Candidates with solid professional reputations, extensive management experience, and a proven background of success interacting with government agencies, host country governments and counterparts, and USAID are strongly encouraged to apply.
