RTI International (www.rti.org) is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the human condition through multidisciplinary technical assistance, training and research services that meet the highest standards. RTI is recruiting for qualified development professionals to serve as ICT Policy Advisor (Computer Technology) with experience in HIV/AIDS strategic directions for forthcoming USAID basic education programs in East Africa (Tanzania).
POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior ICT Policy Advisor would need experience in HIV/AIDS strategic directions, issues around teacher training on HIV/AIDS and the issues of standardizing HIV/AIDS curricula in primary and secondary schools. This person who will be the technical advisor for instruction and leadership and the candidate will be responsible for the overall high level technical, strategy development and policy support and advice. He/She will be working very closely with the Director of the Ministries of Education and Vocational Training to implement technology in the schools and to provide Teacher Training (reading, english, math and science in the schools).
