|
The overall coordination and management of the activities and resources of the Office, including planning and overseeing country reviews;
Ensuring the full implementation of the Host Country Agreement;
Establishing and maintaining high level contacts in member states with Government Officials, the Private Sector, Professional Associations, and Civil Society Organizations, and with Strategic Partners (AfDB, UNECA and UNDP) as well as external partners.

| Qualifications of the Candidate |
|
Hold an advanced University Degree in at least one of the four APRM thematic areas or related subjects;
Have a solid knowledge of African political and development issues and be familiar with Africas major collective programmes and initiatives;
Be familiar with the Constitutive Act of the African Union and the purpose and objectives of the APRM;
Have at least 10 years of relevant experience at national level and/or in multilateral and intergovernmental development institutions and organizations, preferably in Africa;
Have demonstrated proven leadership ability and management skills, as well as effective negotiating skills;
Be preferably bilingual (English and French) with excellent drafting ability in any one of them; and
Have a full knowledge of computer systems, including internet navigation and major Microsoft Office applications.
