The award ceremony for Professor Anyang’ Nyongo was held on April 9th, 2005 at the Grant Hyatt Hotel in New Jersey. The award ceremony for Dr. Obiora Okonkwo will be held on April 21st, 2005 as part of the Africa Career Expo event at the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott Hotel.
The Africa Brain Gain Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to human resources development in Africa, and have done so through moving back to the continent themselves. The Africa Brain Gain Award recognizes these individuals and serves to encourage more African professionals to also move back to the continent to participate in building sustainable development practices in Africa.
